Three years plus since I last looked at the Garnet.

I can't believe it's been over three years since I last looked at Erakis  "The Garnet Star"...

Here's my last log entry of this colourful beauty....

Please click on the picture for a bigger image..

Next chance I get at the eyepiece, I'm going to say sorry to Erakis for not visiting sooner....

  1. Always fun watching this giant fade out and brighten!

Hope you and your TAL PAL get a good look soon!

Nearby triple Struve 2819 and double Struve 2816 all wrapped up in OC IC 1396 would make another fun to read observational posting from "The Pembs"!

  2. Hi SUG , as soon as these clouds vacate...I'm back in the observatory..
The skies have been awful here in Pembrokeshire... cloud cover for the better part of the month...

I think I'm suffering from observatory deprivation syndrome...

Can't wait to get a look at those Struves.....

Hope all is well with you ...

    Catch you soon

    Mark...

  4. It is beautiful in my 12 inch dob!
I was looking at it 3 nights ago. Still a beauty after 10 years of observing it for me! A new favorite.
