The pictures you see on this page show a typical image of the Sun as seen through a small Hydrogen-alpha telescope. 




The photographs seen below are captured very simply, by placing a smartphone camera over the eyepiece of a dedicated hydrogen alpha  telescope.

With a bit of computer wizadry and post capture processing, here are the final results:
